€27.90 every 4 weeks or €279/year, with the unit, installation, filters and maintenance included. No minimum term, and we usually install within 3–7 days. In Sant Cugat, hardness ranges from soft to moderately hard depending on the network that supplies you: see the hardness data.

Left: a dispenser with bottles, another common way to get drinking water. Right: the Oasly unit under the sink.
Sant Cugat does not have a single network. SOREA runs all four; Les Planes and part of La Floresta are on a separate network, listed in SINAC as "SGAB". SINAC measures each network separately, with different hardness. Here is a summary of all four, and what changes with a reverse osmosis unit.
Xarxa Ter (70%): 17.4 °f. Xarxa Mixta (25%): 13.0 °f. SGAB network (Les Planes and part of La Floresta): 26.3 °f. Can Barata (1%): 21.7 °f. Soft to moderately hard on the FACSA scale (SINAC, Xarxa Ter)
Reduces the minerals that cause limescale, whichever network you are on, and remineralises with calcium, magnesium and potassium
Yes. SINAC's latest bulletin rates all four networks fit for human consumption
Starts from that same water and filters it at the point of use
Depends on the network: little on the Xarxa Mixta, more on the SGAB or Can Barata networks
Fewer of the minerals that form limescale in the water you drink and cook with. Shower and washing machine stay the same
Mains water is disinfected, and some people notice a chlorine taste
Reduces chlorine (tested by SGS) and remineralises so it does not taste flat
What you already pay on your water bill

Data from SINAC (Spanish Ministry of Health), read on 9 October 2026. SINAC reports by supply zone, not by neighbourhood. Hardness scale: FACSA (7–14 °f soft, 14–32 moderately hard, 32–54 hard). Hardness is not a health issue: it affects taste and limescale. More context on our page about water hardness in Barcelona. In Sant Cugat, SOREA runs all four networks; Les Planes and part of La Floresta are on a separate network, listed in SINAC as "SGAB".

€27.90 every 4 weeks or €279 a year, with the unit, installation, filters and maintenance included. If you prefer to buy it, it is €699 installed (€629 for the unit only). In Barcelona city the fee is €24.90; in Sant Cugat it is €27.90.
It depends on the network. According to SINAC: the Xarxa Ter, which supplies 70% of the population, measured 17.4 °f (30 March 2026), moderately hard; the Xarxa Mixta (25%), 13.0 °f (10 June 2026), soft; the SGAB network, which supplies Les Planes and part of La Floresta, 26.3 °f (22 May 2026), moderately hard; and Can Barata (1%), 21.7 °f (13 March 2026), moderately hard. Classes follow the FACSA scale.
SINAC reports by supply network, not by street or neighbourhood, so we cannot tell from your address. The most reliable way is to ask SOREA, which runs the water supply in Sant Cugat. At installation we measure your water's TDS before and after and show you both numbers.
In most cases 3 to 7 days from your first message. We need the cold-water feed and drain under the sink, and usually a dedicated faucet, which needs a hole in the worktop or sink; a 3-way faucet is another option. On the day, we measure your TDS before and after and show you both numbers.
Often yes, but ask your landlord first, mainly about the hole for the faucet. If drilling is not allowed, a 3-way faucet may work instead. If that is not possible either, we are probably not the right option for you, and we would rather say so up front.
No. There is no minimum term. To cancel, give us two months' written notice.
If limescale is your only concern and your network is soft, probably not. The difference you notice most is taste (it reduces chlorine, tested by SGS) and not relying on bottles. If your network is moderately hard, you will also see less limescale in the kettle and coffee machine you fill with filtered water.
